Introducing our new project
A new kind of LGBTQ+ community center for Santa Barbara and the 805

A new kind of LGBTQ+ community center for Santa Barbara and the 805
Learn MoreWe held twin events to assess the state of queer and trans BIPOC life and wellbeing in the 805.
In partnership with Pura Luna Apothecary (Black queer owned), and the Considered Coffee bus (an all-women team), we hosted an evening of small comforts for community.
We finally brought our style of comic-con to Southern California. We were grateful to be welcomed by the amazing staff at Mickey’s West Hollywood to host our drag cosplay show, “Queer the Fandom” during Pride Month.
We brought back our signature comic, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, and media fandom event. Held during SF Pride Month, this was our largest self-produced event to date.
Once a month, we put down the credit card for Saturday morning coffee, and Sunday evening dinner. This is one more way we are practicing community care.
Teams in Oakland, El Paso, and Santa Barbara created safe, affirming events for our collective wellbeing.
For our second holiday kickback of 2022, we partnered with Blue Owl, Sazon Latino, and Vivian Storm to make sure community had good food, and a place to go on December 25th.
In this seven part Collection we invite you to explore boundaries with us. What has shaped the boundaries you maintain today? What impacts the boundaries you navigate between social, cultural, and political institutions? What lessons have you learned about your boundaries and those of other over this last year of sharp adjustments, unexpected changes, distance and isolation?
Imagining worlds of justice and joy. This special collection challenged us to think beyond tearing down systems of oppression and towards what we might build in their place.
Our very first QTCON in the 805 brought out hundreds of creatives, fans, and community members to the heart of Downtown Santa Barbara. And it was so very queer.
Our inaugural Pride & Joy Weekend, the ONLY Pride weekend for queer & trans BIPOC on California’s Central Coast.
Food. Drink. Beats. Our first of many holiday kickbacks.
